The Bouquet of Važec is an exhibition that brings together the works of Michaela Casková (CZ/FI), Sarah Jost (NO/SE) and Miroslava Juríková (SK). Their works are inspired by the rich palette of colours, individuals (human and non human), landscape and encounters in and around the village of Važec, Slovakia. The exhibition also loosely follows the legacy of the work of the Czech painter Jan Hala, who worked in Važec from 1923 to 1959. Michaela and Sarah have both been artists in residents in his house while working on the exhibition.
The artists would like to thank everyone that they met in and around Važec for friendly, helpful, interesting and colourful interactions.
