BERGEN ATELIERGRUPPE (BAG)

BERGEN ATELIERGRUPPE (BAG)

BAG was initiated in 2008 as a non-profit artist-run association by Malin Lennström-Örtwall, Anna Christina Lorenzen, Vilde Salhus Røed and Stefan Törner and  was established in July 2009 in the Dokken Havnelageret harbourside building in Bergen, on the west coast of Norway. The Association’s purpose is to offer studios for professional artists and others in the field of contemporary arts. BAG is an active creative environment where conversations, public events, collaborative projects and individual work are in focus. BAG has a project room, common area with kitchen, storage, technical equipment and a wood workshop on the premises.

Through extensive effort by members and by the support from the Municipality of Bergen, the Norwegian Arts Council and the private sector, BAG is today a well-structured, serious and suitable workplace. We have at present 14 studios at 13-26 m2. Since its establishment BAG has received funding from City of Bergen .
