BAG member Marit Tunestveit Dyre are in Thailand taking part in “It`s Personal” a Performance Art Exchange event which brings together eight female artists from Norway and Thailand to collaborate, focusing on their individual personal issues.
The artists will meet up in Chiang Khong (Chiang Rai) a small town at the border between Thailand and Lao, beside Mae Kong river. Her the artists will take part in a Community Art Project, learning about the community and their livelihood. A site-specific performance work will here be made individually or collectively. After Chiang Khong the artist will travel to Chiang Mai, here we will have artist talks, visiting local art gallery and artist, The Land Foundation and finally a day of performance in Pong Noi Community Art Space.
The final part of It`s Personal 2016 will the held at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. Two days of artist / project presentation, included a summary of It`s personal part 1 and a group performances by the 8 participating artist. Last but not least the further project plan for It`s Personal part 2 will be presented.
The participating artist is: Sareena Sattapon, Nopawan Sirivjkul, Pattree Chimnok, Jittima Polsawek, Rita Marhaug, Terese Longva, Pavana Reid and Marit Tunestveit Dyre. The project was initiated by Pavana Reid.
